Established in 2002 at Cornell University,  ESW-Cornell is comprised of students, university faculty, and professionals of all backgrounds who are dedicated to building a more sustainable world for current and future generations. They have a longstanding tradition of service to the Ithaca and Cornell communities through outreach events such as Relay for Life, Community Building Works! and Dilmun Hill Student Run organic farm. They also have numberous projects revolving around a wide range of topics such as solar powered ovens, the "Veggie Van" that runs off of waste vegetable oil from the dining halls, human powered electricity generation, and their all-new solar kiosk team. Members enjoy participating in the club's annual Drive Not to Drive and CU Go Green sustainability challenges in the spring and North Campus Resources battle. Cornell is also the original home of ESW as an organization.
