We worked on implementing a rainwater barrel capture system at Richstone Family Center with the help of their amazing high school student volunteers. The rainwater captured will provide an additional water source for Richstone's small community garden. Student volunteers at the center will no longer have to pull long hoses or carry heavy buckets to water their garden.
During family activity hour at the center, we built mousetrap race cars. Although the kids who participated in our activity were unable to race the cars the same day as they had to wait for the glued parts to set, they had a great time experimenting with different aerodynamic designs and recycled materials.
