Public Relations/Marketing Director
Egoamaka works remotely as Public Relations Consultant at the Oluponna Educational Resource Centre in Iwo, Nigeria in conjunction with the Archdiocese of Ibadan and the Osun state local government. While there, she exercised her community outreach skills by writing press materials and making presentations to media representatives; representing the organization to the public; and managing all internal, external and crisis communications. She played a principal role in helping gain financial sponsorship from the Exxon Mobil Corporation to fund new infrastructures at the OFFERCentre. She cultivated and formed a successful partnership for the OFFERCentre with the Irish and French Embassy in Nigeria and successfully recruited international volunteers from France, Belgium, and Ireland. Egoamaka interned for the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. Egoamaka a graduate of Mount St. Mary’s University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Master of Professional Studies in Strategic Public Relations from George Washington University.
Egoamaka is a Playwright, having published two self-published plays about life as a first-generation American: "The American Life" and "My Lonesome Village." Egoamaka enjoys spending hours dancing to Eighties music and One-hit wonders from the Nineties. She is a Simpson’s enthusiast and believes Maggie is simply smarter and better than Lisa Simpson.
